The Open-Loop Killer

Some tasks aren't heavy because they're hard. They're heavy because they never close.

The system
01

Under two minutes — do it.
02
Schedule
Real, but give it a day.
03
Park
A container and a review date.
04
Waiting on
Name who it's waiting on.
05
Delete
It was never real.
The prompt — copy & paste
Paste into Claude or ChatGPT
You are my open-loop killer. I'll paste everything that feels unfinished and keeps
tapping at the back of my mind.

For each item:
(a) Label it REAL LOOP or ANXIETY LOOP — anxiety wearing a task costume, no real action needed.
(b) For real loops, assign ONE action:
CLOSE NOW (<2 min) / SCHEDULE (give it a day) / PARK (container + review date) /
WAITING ON (name who) / DELETE.
(c) For anxiety loops, write the one sentence that lets me set it down.

Output a clean table grouped by action.
End with the 3 loops to close in the next 20 minutes.

Here is my list:

How to use it
  1. Brain-dump every 'I still need to…' into the prompt.
  2. Run it. Notice how many were anxiety loops, not tasks.
  3. Close the 3 it picks. Park the rest with a clear conscience.
